This year the Sierra Club has endorsed a group of environmental candidates for the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee. By getting more environmentalists elected to Central Committee, we hope to get the San Francisco Democratic Party to take better positions on ballot measures and to endorse better candidates for higher office.
Among the candidates is our own Michael Bornstein, the director of the Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter. Michael is also a member of San Francisco's Local Agency Formation Commission, where he promotes green-energy programs. Also on our list of endorsed candidates are three San Francisco Supervisors with excellent environmental voting records.
We have also endorsed for the Republican and Green Party Central Committees.
