For campaign news, visit the Friends of Franklin Canyon's website at www.SaveFranklinCanyon.com The saga of Point Molate develops from week to week with new moves and countermoves. Issues include desires for public open space, revenue for a cash-strapped city, and Chevron-Texaco's security concerns. In turn, this is part of a regional casino issue with three, and possibly five, large Nevada-style casinos being pushed for the Richmond-San Pablo-Albany area. Concerns include traffic congestion, the suitability and need for such businesses, their effects on communities, and revenues to the cities and state. Stay tuned!
